I was recommended this CD from a friend of mine and after hearing it a few times it had me hooked.Hard to find much information about them and the CD doesn't tell me much either but this is a fine Doom Laden album closer to 70's Rock than most but Doom just the same.Musically the band is closest to bands like "Count Raven" and "Saint Vitus" but with a bit extra in the 70's groove rock department. One of the standout points of this band is the unique vocals of Andreas Kohl who really sounds like no one else in the world of Doom.Riffs are the good but heard it all before variety but enjoyable all the same.Tracks like "Suburban Boogie" or the weird "Sleepless" are highlights and the guitar work ranges from heavily down-tuned Doom Rock to the slightly more 70's Progressive Rock workouts. There is some great tempo changes and mood swings from mid - tempo grooves to even some acoustic breaks especially in the eleven minutes long "The Coldest Day/The Story of the Drinker".The production on this album is average at best which kind of spoils things but this is still a worthwhile purchase for fans of Classic Doom.Released on exile On Mainstream Records.8/10
