UPDATE FEB 17TH: Thanks to everyone that has helped me out so far. Your donations are the only thing keeping my health issues tolerable and even with my demise likely to come sooner rather than later, it has gave me some motivation to try and beat the illness (even though there is not a recorded case of anyone beating this disease). Thankfully this month, thanks to the generosity of Earache Records he was able to get more meds than usual and is doing a lot better because of it. This is a classic example of how much good the meds do for his overall health and standard of living. However as nice as the Earache donation was, it is still only helpful for about 2 weeks worth of treatment so the ball is back in your court once again.
Eisenmenger syndrome is a complication of having a heart defect. It is most commonly caused by a large hole in your heart between the two lower heart chambers (ventricles), called a ventricular septal defect (VSD). Obviously a condition as serious as this one can only be helped with medicine and the regular care of a doctor which also costs a lot of money by the way. The only real cure is heart surgery but we can't see that happening any time soon. Please help, we have run out of options for help from the government and Ed can not work most days due to his illness......Sally Bethhall.

Update January 23: Most people would have heard the devastating news by now. Ed will make a official statement when he feels ready so please no more messages, all will be revealed soon enough. Update January 14th: Today it is with great sadness that Ed has announced he will no longer be writing reviews and can no longer work till his health issues are sorted out (Please keep in mind this may not ever happen and it is a day by day situation). There is no cash flow for medications so his health has taken a big step backwards in recent weeks. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ED OVER REVIEW SUBMISSIONS, CONTACT ONE OF THE OTHER WRITERS INSTEAD. Thanks to everyone who has helped in the past but sadly the help dried up just when it was needed most and Ed now lives on borrowed time (I can't and wont reveal anymore personal details than that at this stage). Ed relies on medications just to handle basic everyday tasks and even writing takes every bit of strength he has which is why I am supplying this message.....Sally. Please read the other updates below....

Update January 8th: Whitney started the Chip-In campaign (thanks again Whitney) but so far only 14 people have donated. Considering the thousands of people that visit this site each and every week, this is very sad. Update January 1st 2013: Alright time to fix this situation once and for all. Christmas is over so you can't use that as a excuse anymore. I will be perfectly blunt, Ed needs $600 ASAP to get through the next month's worth of medication and treatments. If we get that, we will drop this begging till it is needed once again. Good news is one very kind person has offered us both a room to stay in for 3 months maximum in exchange for yard work. If we can dig ourselves out of this hole in the following 3 months, we may actually have a realistic chance at beating this but it can't and won't happen without the help of others but we have some incentive for the next month only. Any donations that are made within the USA of $50 or more will receive 2 CD's. If you want a specific album that used to be in the Doommantia Webstore, let us know along with your donation. Let's hope 2013 is a better one than 2012, after-all it can't be any worse.....Love Sally.

Update December 26th: The good news - Ed got the all clear from his cancer tests. The bad news - Both Ed and Sally are both living in homeless shelters as of yesterday (December 25th - so much for a Merry Christmas) so the website is on hold once more.....Sorry - Doomm@niac.

Update: Ed goes in for cancer testing today. All of our thoughts are with him, hopefully he gets the all-clear when the results come in....Doomm@niac


Well what happened, the Chip-In campaign isn't exactly happening at the moment but at least 8 people have donated for a total of $347 but it still has a long way to go to meet the November 30th 2013 deadline. The hotel whose best and only feature is the famous road-sign you see here is Ed and Sally's current location. This hotel paid for by a kind friend is to be their home for the next week but after that the future is again looking very bleak indeed. The house for those who haven't heard didn't work out. Despite living there for a month, they couldn't even raise the funds to turn the power on, let alone pay the second months rent so it is back to the drawing board.

I have been informed of some confusion over their present situation even though it is all stated clearly here in black and white. Ed has had 2 heart attacks and now several hospital stays which has pushed the debt out to past $40,000 and anyone that thinks that sounds fishy obviously has never stayed in a hospital without the benefit of insurance. I personally know someone with a $85,000 bill resulting from a car accident and they too are surviving with the help of friends, family and donations but that is the subject of another fundraiser. I started the "Chip-In" campaign out of love for my two friends, I am the one asking for money on their behalf so to those pointing fingers and making accusations, don't go there - the situation is far worse than any of you can imagine and I am just trying to help.

With that personal gripe out-of-the-way, I hope you consider the plight of people like Ed who live day by day, not knowing what tomorrow may bring. You should also consider his two children who Ed has to support even though he has no money. With Christmas coming up, it is time to give some thought of those who are less fortunate than yourself. It doesn't take much to make a difference and this is the time of the year to do it. This isn't a money-making scheme, this is a question of survival.
